Carlos Ivan Diaz Murphy is a MPhil/PhD Candidate at The London School of Economics and Political Science.

Carlos Ivan Diaz Murphy was born and raised in Mexico. Since a young age he found a particular interest in technology and innovation. He started his undergraduate degree in International Studies at the age of 15 years old. At 19, he was accepted to a MSc in Economic History at LSE where he further specialized in the topic. After his studies, he worked in startups, venture capital, consulting, and joined the corporate environment in the areas of innovation, risk, and finance. He has taught in several universities in Mexico mainly focusing on business economics and innovation.

He is also passionate about music, literature, photography, and cinema. He credits Taekwondo as a strong influence for his discipline and character.
